S.A.M Singapore Math – The Woodlands is looking for part-time trainer/front desk assistant for our after-school learning center. No previous experience in education necessary, training will be provided.

Qualified S.A.M trainers should meet the following criteria:

1.Competent and confident in Mathematics and/or English

2. Able to communicate

- Guiding students through concepts to children of different ages

-Professionally with parents and colleagues

4.Strong organization skills

-Able to follow through with processes (managing learning materials, planning resource usage, grading, calling parents etc.)

Interested candidate must have reliable transportation.

We are looking for long term candidates so please serious enquiries only.

Work Schedule: _Wednesday, Friday and some weekends

This is a great example of how students use bar models to understand concepts. So many children struggle with math, often because of concepts that are learned but not completely understood. When a child learns a procedure solely by repetition, they may not truly understand the meaning and could have trouble applying it to different math problems.
