Over the years, I have watched so many students and coaching clients walk into a difficult season feeling broken.
A setback made them question their ability. A failure changed how they saw themselves. A painful experience convinced them they would never feel whole again.
Yet, little by little, they kept going.
They showed up when they felt discouraged. They tried again after things did not work out. They asked for help, learned from the experience, and took the next small step.
That is resilience.
That is grit.
It does not mean the struggle never affected them. It means they refused to let the struggle become the end of their story.
The Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi teaches us to recognize beauty in imperfection. Kintsugi is the art of repairing broken pottery with gold, highlighting the cracks instead of hiding them.
The repaired piece does not return to what it once was. It becomes something new, with every crack becoming part of its beauty and history.
Perhaps healing is not about becoming the person you were before life broke you.
Perhaps it is about honoring the strength, wisdom, and resilience you gained while putting yourself back together.
Your cracks do not make you less worthy.
They show where you chose to keep going. 💗✨
