Looking for a middle school / high school teacher support person.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate person to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a background in working with students that are in the middle school / high school age range. This role requires the ability to offer supportive learning help for students in their grade level and to deliver instruction support in various subjects, and to support students’ academic growth. Experience in private school settings and familiarity with students in this grade level is required.
This person will work under the certified teacher, who works part time. This person will fill in when the certified teacher is unavailable.
Responsibilities
Assist with support needed in the following subjects: Basic Math and Language Arts.
Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote critical thinking.
Provide individualized support for students with diverse learning needs and actively meet each student where they are academically and socially.
Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Participate in professional development activities to stay current with educational best practices.
Requirements
High school diploma required.
Experience teaching / working in a private school setting is a plus.
Strong organizational skills for proper classroom management.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and the community to support student success.
