STEM-ing Up Some Teamwork! 🚀🎯

Ms. Ames’ class kicked off the first week of school with a fun STEM activity designed to practice teamwork and problem-solving!

Working in groups, students built catapults using popsicle sticks and rubber bands, then put their creations to the test to see which team could launch their pom-poms the farthest! 💨

The pom-poms flew, and the teamwork soared!🎉

The first Middle School Hatchet Hangout is happening September 25! Middle school students can head to the Multi-Purpose Room directly after school for an afternoon of fun.

📱 Phones are allowed at this event.

A few important reminders:
• Students who earn 6 or more minors or 3 or more majors during Quarter 1 are not eligible to attend.
• Students who leave the building will not be allowed to reenter.

THS Cross-Country Team Update - Rhinelander Cross-Country Invitational-Rhinelander High School - August 27, 2026

The Hatchet Cross-Country team officially opened its season Thursday at the 11-team Rhinelander Invitational, held at Rhinelander High School. The meet featured a new course route that took runners through the Rhinelander school forest and soccer field. The Lady Hatchets turned in a strong performance, finishing third behind GNC rivals Lakeland and Rhinelander. The Hatchet boys struggled to find their footing, finishing sixth overall.

🏡Hometown: Mount Vernon, IL

❤️Family: Married to my Wife Christine for 18years, we have 4 children ages are 2 are 33yrs old and 2 are 27yrs old. We have 5 grandchildren. Our best child is our 5 month old golden retriever named River Skye and is the only child currently living at home.

🎉Interests/Hobbies: Spending time outdoors when I can, camping, canoeing, hunting, fishing, and road trips without any real plans.
