Our class sizes, which allow teachers to work more closely with each student, are made possible by our current 15% Maintenance & Operations Override. We are on the ballot this November to continue this M&O Override, which benefits our students in many ways.

At Union ESD, we take pride in our extracurriculars, including sports, dance and music. To make these a great experience, we prioritize maintaining our facilities.

In November, we are on the ballot for a District Additional Assistance Override. If it passes, the funding would be used (among other ways) to improve and maintain facilities in order to help our students succeed.

DID YOU KNOW: With the current 15% Maintenance & Operations Override, we are able to provide FREE full-day kindergarten. At Union ESD, our kindergarteners get ahead of the curve socially and in their education because of this.

At our Governing Board Meeting this evening, Superintendent Morris informed our community of our upcoming election for a continuation of the 15% Maintenance & Operations Override (M&O) and a District Additional Assistance Capital Override.

M&O funds things like Art, PE and Music, and also helps us provide competitive pay and benefits to staff.

DAA funding would be used to fund materials supporting student learning, make improvements to facilities and more.

This November, we are going out for a District Additional Assistance (DAA) Capital Override, a 10% budget override that would provide additional funding for equipment, repairs, and facilities and grounds improvements that will allow for better services for our students.
