Good morning!
For those who do not know me, my name is Dani and I work in the 3’s Daycare classroom.
I am finishing up my last semester of graduate school at UConn and, as part of my senior project, have teamed up with Hands on Hartford to collect canned food and toiletries for their community initiatives.
Two of their biggest programs include running Gather 55, a pay-what-you-can restaurant (the first of its kind in CT!) and hosting a backpacking program which provides over 200 children across 8 towns with backpacks containing food and housing items. These backpacks are distributed every Friday afternoon and contain enough items to feed both the child and the rest of their family for the entire weekend!
If you are interested in participating in my food drive, please bring canned food items and/or toiletries to LNS anytime between Thursday March 30th and Friday April 7th. I will have a box set up in the main lobby where you can drop off your donations.
