Monday, staff and students lined the hallway to applaud them as they dismissed their classes for the very last time. Their years of service, commitment to children, and impact on the Walbridge community will never be forgotten.

On Monday, we proudly recognized our 1st through 7th grade students during our annual awards ceremonies. Students were honored for their academic achievement, excellent attendance, positive behavior, and growth throughout the school year.

We are incredibly proud of all of our Wildcats!

This past Friday, we also celebrated our Kindergarten Recognition Ceremony! 🎓❤️

Our youngest Wildcats did a wonderful job performing for their families and showcasing all they have learned and accomplished this year. Congratulations to our kindergarten students as they take the next step in their educational journey! 🐾🎉

🎓❤️🖤 This past Friday, we celebrated our 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony as we honored the accomplishments, growth, and perseverance of the Walbridge Class of 2026.

This year's ceremony was especially meaningful as it marked the final 8th grade recognition in the history of Walbridge Elementary School. While our students are moving on to high school and our building prepares to close, the memories, friendships, and lessons learned at Walbridge will remain with them forever.

We would like to extend a very special thank you to our guest speaker, Mr. Andre McCallum Jr., for sharing his inspiring story and powerful message about overcoming obstacles, making positive choices, and pursuing success. His words provided encouragement and motivation as our students prepare for the next chapter of their lives.

Congratulations to our 8th graders! We are proud of all you have accomplished and look forward to seeing the amazing things you will do in the future.

🖤❤️ Last week alsomarked the final Walbridge School Store, and what a wonderful day it was!

Our Wildcats had the opportunity to spend their hard-earned Walbridge Bucks on treasures, trinkets, school supplies, and other fun items. The excitement on their faces as they browsed and selected their items was priceless!

A special thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers who donated their time and energy to help make the school store such a success throughout the years. Your support helped create countless smiles and memorable experiences for our students.

⚾❤️🖤 What an amazing day for the Walbridge family!

Last week, our entire school traveled together to enjoy a Toledo Mud Hens game and create one more special memory as Walbridge Elementary School. Every student and staff member received a game ticket, transportation, a hot dog lunch, and popcorn at no cost.

To make the day even more memorable, everyone received a special Walbridge t-shirt, a pair of sunglasses, and a commemorative bracelet featuring the messages “Remember the Walbridge Way” and “Wildcat PRIDE.”

As we approached the closing of Walbridge, days like that reminded us that our school has always been about much more than a building. It has been about the people, relationships, traditions, and memories we’ve created together. Seeing hundreds of Wildcats enjoying the day together was truly something special.

🎉 Congratulations to our Walbridge Wildcats who earned chips for growth on the i-Ready Diagnostic Challenge! 🎉

These students demonstrated hard work and a commitment to improving their skills throughout the school year. Their growth is a reflection of the effort they put into learning every day, and we are incredibly proud of their accomplishments!

🏓🏆 Last week, our 8th graders served up an unforgettable day of fun, competition, and Wildcat pride during a Walbridge 8th Grade Pickleball Tournament!

Students showcased teamwork, sportsmanship, determination, and plenty of skill as they battled it out on the courts. Congratulations to all of our participants, 8th grade staff, and tournament champions for making this event such a success!

Aloha Walbridge — We celebrated the very last dance in Walbridge Elementary history with a Hawaiian Luau! 🌺🌴🐾

There were smiles, laughter, music, dancing, games and memories that will last a lifetime.
