GTU will hold its first meeting of the semester this Friday, September 15 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) in SM 3066. Come for pizza, elections, and planning!

Spring 2016 GTU Initiation will be on April 21, 2016, 5:30-8:30 p.m. in Snyder Memorial Room 3066 at the University of Toledo. After a brief initiation ceremony, we will have a potluck dinner and the traditional Geopardy competition.
Fall 2015 GTU Initiation and Geopardy Competition will be on Wednesday, December 2 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Snyder Memorial Room 3066. We will also have a potluck dinner, so please feel free to bring something to share.
Please consider attending the academic symposium this Friday (Sept 25th) in recognition of the Inauguration of our new UT President Dr. Sharon Gaber (who is also an urban and regional planner)!
The title of this academic symposium is “Creating a Social Compact between Greater Toledo and The University of Toledo: From Knowledge to Action” and is held this Friday, Sept. 25th 10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at University Hall in Doermann Theater.
Panel Participants include: Dr. Sharon Gaber; Dr. Michael Dear, professor emeritus of city and regional planning at the University of California at Berkeley; Dr. Kenneth Reardon, professor and director of the graduate program in urban planning and community development at the University of Massachusetts in Boston, and Dr. Neil Reid, director of the UT Jack Ford Urban Affairs Center and professor of geography and planning; and Calvin Lawshe, director of economic and business development for the City of Toledo.
