Toledo Lucas County Public Library's Summer Read Challenge Kicks Off

The Toledo Lucas County Public Library's annual Summer Read challenge starts today — and readers of all ages can earn prizes just for reading.

How it works:

— Read for 30 days between June 1 and Aug. 1

— Track your reading and earn prizes along the way

— All participants who complete the challenge are entered into grand prize drawings

What you can win:

— Upon sign-up: Tote bag for adults — football flinger for kids

— Midway prize: Inflatable animal friend for kids and teens

— Upon completion: A book to keep for kids and teens — a mug for adults
