This was a post on a Reynolds Corners site. You may be interested in how our Junior High School got it’s name:

I didn't grow up in Reynolds Corners (I now live in Reynolds Corners behind the library), but my maternal grandmother's paternal family arrived in 1854. At one time this family held four farms ranging from 9 acres to 80 acres from 1854-1978 along Hill Avenue and Wenz Road. My Grandma and great aunt inherited one half of the 80-acre farm when my great grandmother's estate was settled in 1954, and their cousin inherited the other half from her mother's estate. My great grandmother Emma Ann Newbirt McTigue passed away in mid-January 1953 at the age of 92. Her parents at one time owned the farm across Hill Avenue from the original McTigue farm where Resurrection Cemetery now resides (that part of the family later moved to Holland, Ohio where other parts of the family lived).

Grandma, Great Aunt Helen McTigue Buckenmeyer and their cousin Helen Byrne Quinn (Byrne Road is named after her father's family) sold the farm for less than it was appraised for to the then Adams Township School Board but made a verbal stipulation that one of the two schools on the property was to be named after the McTigue family since the family had owned that farm for 100 years. Today, Roger's High School and McTigue Elementary School sit on the grounds of that farm.

All three of the women were at one time teachers in Adams Township and Toledo.
