Toledo Early College

A few Toledo Early College Youth Creating Change members were privileged with the opportunity to participate in the Dedication and Ribbon Cutting for the Starburst at International Cove, within Glass City Metropark. Student ambassadors, or “Voices of the Future”, shared words in English and in some of the languages inscribed within the beautiful sculpture.

The Toledo Public Schools students are thankful to Toledo Federation of Teachers and Metroparks Toledo for the opportunity to participate in this ceremony to celebrate community, home, welcoming, resilience, vibrance, faith, diversity, family, unity, and love (the words they shared during the dedication).

All good things must come to an end-we’re leaving the big 🍎 and headed back home!!

Our group is winding down our trip to NYC! We walked through Central Park, ate lunch at the food trucks, went to the Museum of Natural History, The Spy Museum, and now a little shopping before dinner.
