Due to the substantial increase of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Lucas County, Toledo Public Schools will now require all students and staff members - regardless of vaccination status - to wear face masks during the school or work day. This new directive impacts all district schools and offices. This precautionary step is being taken, along with other preventative measures, in an effort to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community and will remain in effect until further notice.
Staff members will begin wearing masks tomorrow, Tuesday, August 10, and students must be in masks beginning on their first day of school.
We are so proud of all of our graduating seniors. The past 4 years with them have been filled with great memories and lots of laughter. Special congratulations to the 8 LEAD seniors who are finishing in the top 20 of the Class of 2021... Way to go!

Three years ago, we took students to visit Cleveland State University and Case Western Reserve University, then capped off the day with a full-access tour of Progressive Field. It was a full and fun day. Although we've had to adapt to online LEAD this year, we are eager to share these experiences with students again once we return to in-person LEAD.

Update on in-person programming:
LEAD has been hopeful about a return to the building this school year, but has yet to receive permission from the district to do so. Until we receive that permission, we have no date set to return in-person and will remain online for the foreseeable future. Students can stop by for tutoring, homework help, OST prep, or just to say Hello. However, any students awaiting a return to in-person LEAD should know that we have yet to receive permission to do so.

Fun in the sun with Toledo
With OSTs approaching, students can bring practice problems for state tests to LEAD for test prep and test taking strategies. Passing these tests is a requirement for graduation, and preparation is the key to success. Stop by our Google Meet (details in our Google Classroom) from 1-3pm on your at-home learning days to prepare.
Students, as you head into the 4th quarter, remember that we offer tutoring in math, biology, history, English, Spanish, and more! Join us online on your at-home learning days from 1-3pm for individualized academic support to ensure you finish the year on a high note.
