Young Women of Toledo is inviting female students ages 12 to 18 to be a part of Girls Hub. This powerful summer experience is designed to inspire the next generation of female leaders in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) through classes in carpentry, architecture, and art. Women of Toledo | Girls Hub Girls Hub is a STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics) program/activity for girls and young women ages 12 to 17 that offers workspace in trades and construction, through classes in woodworking, architecture, and art.

Harvard Elementary PTO scholarship opportunity available to graduating seniors in the Toledo Public Schools district.
We are awarding a $500 scholarship to one deserving student who:
Is a from a TPS high school who plans on attending college or university in 2025
Attended Harvard Elementary for at least three years
Has a minimum GPA of 2.5
Demonstrates the of a Harvard Husky: purpose-driven living, a culture of positivity, respect and belonging, and a growth mindset

2025 Beverly Elementary Alumni Scholarship Application 04/23/2025

The Parent Teacher Organization of Beverly Elementary School will award two (2) $500.00 scholarships to each of two seniors from Toledo Public Schools who will be continuing their education at a college or university in the Fall of 2025.

The requirements for this scholarship are:

1. The applicant must be completing high school by the end of the 2024-2025 academic year from within the Toledo Public School system (including academies and magnet schools).

2. The applicant must have been a matriculate of Beverly Elementary School. (Beverly attendance must have been at least four (4) years).

All completed applications must be received by Friday, May 9th.

Diabetes Youth Services is excited to announce that applications are open to join the 2025-26 Youth Advisory Board! This board is a vehicle for high school students in grades 10-12 to become involved in a local non-profit organization merging civic engagement and leadership development. This would be an amazing resume builder for the students. DYS would gladly write any reference letter or sign off on any volunteer hours completed.

By engaging young and enthusiastic individuals, we strive to bring new energy into our mission-based work, while developing future leaders of tomorrow. We are looking for a diverse group of hardworking students dedicated to positively impacting their community, all while having fun and gaining valuable experience and memories.

Membership criteria for the board include:
1. Applicants must be entering grades 10-12.
a. A type 1 diabetes diagnosis is NOT required to join.
2. Pursuing a high school diploma, a GED, or in a transition program.
3. Able to commit to one (1) school year running from September 2025 to May 2026.

**We are currently accepting applications through June 30, 2025. The board is free for students to join. On the attached flyer is a QR code and a link to visit our website for more information and to apply.

Bowsher Booster Scholarship- This scholarship is for graduating seniors who have a 3.0 GPA or higher, have been accepted to an institution of higher learning, and have been involved in extra-curricular activities throughout high school. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 8th. Please fill out an application in its entirety and include 3 letters of recommendation and a short essay following the prompt on the application. If you have any questions, please reach out to Ms. Welch. A printed copy can be picked up in the counseling office.

*Completed applications can be submitted to Ms. Crabtree, Mr. Hershey, or Ms. Welch.

UT Health Professions Career Summer Camp- This camp is designed for high school students who will be sophomores, juniors, or seniors in fall 2025 and are interested in working in health & wellness fields.

*Registration is open for a two-day, hands-on Health Professions Career Summer Camp

*Camp is Tuesday & Wednesday, July 15-16th UToledo’s main campus

*Registration will include snacks and meals, a t-shirt, parking, and a campus tour. Registration is $125.

NANBPWC Maumee Bay Club Safe Encounters 4/13/25-

SAFE Encounters is a program for teens, ages 13-18. The program strives to teach youth how to interact with law enforcement effectively and to build positive experiences between our youth and law enforcement personnel to save lives. STEM Expo Day, Owens Community College 03/25/2025

STEM Expo Day at Owens Community College- This engaging event, will be held on Tuesday, April 22, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Dana Center (458 Depot Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551), will provide hands-on experiences and valuable insights into in-demand STEM careers.

Students will have the opportunity to:
✅ Explore careers in Advanced Manufacturing, Skilled Trades, Transportation Technologies, Computer & Information Systems, and more.
✅ Tour the award-winning Dana Center.
✅ Meet faculty, staff, and industry professionals.
✅ Learn about internship opportunities and short-term credentials to fast-track their future.

Glass City Federal Credit Union Scholarship- 5 scholarships to area students -- one in the amount of $2,500 and four in the amount of $1,000.

Please note that students are eligible to apply for a Glass City Federal scholarship if they meet all of the following criteria: will be attending a 2- to 4- year accredited post-secondary institution in the 2025-26 school year; is a member of Glass City Federal (or a parent, step-parent, or legal guardian is a member); submits their completed application and required essay by March 31, 2025.

Equality Toledo has launched their LGBTQ+ Youth Program designed to provide a social, safe space for youth ages 12-19. The program aims to create an environment that fosters empowerment, community, and social connection through educational and engaging activities. The goal is to support the mental health and well-being of LGBTQ+ youth, offering them a space where they feel accepted and understood.

The group meets every other Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:00 pm. The next meeting will be on March 25th at 1301 Jefferson Avenue, Toledo, OH. Please see the attached flyer for more information. There is also a Youth QR code and a Parent QR code for information on this available resource.

Parks and Recreation Youth Advisory Board 03/20/2025

Toledo's Parks and Youth Services Department has an exciting opportunity for Toledo's young leaders to get involved with their community through working alongside city officials as a member of the Youth Advisory Board. This opportunity allows high school students to provide their perspective and help the city make the decisions that encourage Toledo's youth to visit and love Toledo city parks.
