A Quinnipiac poll released on Wednesday — after nurse Alex Pretti was shot and killed by federal agents in Minneapolis in January — found that 63% of voters disapprove of the way ICE is enforcing immigration laws while only 34% approve.

The poll also found 58% of voters saying Secretary Kristi Noem should be removed from her job, with 60% saying ICE should withdraw from Minneapolis.

When you raise a child, you worry. You worry about everything their health, whether they will have friends, whether they will find a mate, raise a family and find happiness in their life. You do what you can to give them the best that you can.
This week two more young people were shot down in Toledo, Santiago Rease and Colleen Stamper. Somebody decided to take their lives and destroy the lives of their families.
Why? We don’t know yet, we may never know unless someone is brave enough to step forward.
I do know that Colleen Stamper was a 2016 graduate of Woodward High School. Colleen was a member of the National Honor Society; played volleyball, basketball, and softball and was the 2015 Homecoming Queen. She worked in the YMCA TPS after-school program and as an STNA for Otterbein Rehab. Colleen was a nursing student at Owens Community College. Colleen was also one of the young people awarded a scholarship by the Woodward Hall of fame Association. As with all our student scholars we had high hopes for her.
The crime was senseless and cowardly. Somebody, somewhere knows something about this crime. Do the right thing if you have any information call Crime Stoppers at (419) 255-1111.
