More books are becoming available, and the model behind them is continuing to grow. 📚

JSTOR’s Path to Open will move forward as an ongoing program after its pilot phase. The program brings together libraries and publishers to support open access for scholarly books, with nearly 300 libraries and more than 50 publishers already participating.

The early results are encouraging. When the first titles became openly available, readership expanded quickly, reaching thousands of institutions and readers in countries around the world.

Learn more about how this approach is helping expand access to scholarship at the link in comments.

King Charles name dropped a Library of Congress exhibition in his speech to Congress today, calling Washington, D.C., "a city which symbolizes a period in our shared history, or what Charles Dickens might have called 'A Tale of Two Georges.'"

"The Two Georges," on view at the Library through July 4, brings together the collections—letters, ledgers, diaries, maps, drawings, and more—of George Washington and King George III of Britain for the first time, allowing visitors to learn about their parallel lives in an age of revolution.

Plan your trip at loc.gov/visit.
