We're open this week during main campus spring break, and we'll be closed next week during Law spring break which is 1 week later. Our students who would normally be working at the circulation desk will be on spring break (as they should be). We'll reopen at our usual 7:00 am on Monday, March 16. Maddy, Maria and Rick will be working both weeks, so please let us know if you need anything from the law library!

Our newest book is Bridging the Gap Between College and Law School: Strategies for Success. It's on 3-hour permanent reserve behind the circulation desk, and recommended by our Academic Success office. Come check it out!

We already bought the book. It's currently on 3-hour course reserve because Prof. Goetting is teaching a seminar on wrongful conviction. Come check it out!
Join us on Tuesday, Oct. 7, at noon as Professor Nathan Goetting, who holds a joint appointment at Adrian College and the University of Toledo College of Law, will discuss his new book, "The Supreme Court's Actual Innocence Problem: How the Supreme Court of the United States Has Failed to Reduce Wrongful Convictions."
Professor Goetting will be joined by Dean Tracey Brame and Prof. Ann Garant, co-directors of the Cooley Innocence Project, and Gilbert Poole Jr., who was exonerated in 2021 after spending 32 years in prison for a murder he didn’t commit.

Congratulations to Dean Zietlow!
We are thrilled to announce that Rebecca Zietlow has been named the permanent Dean of the College of Law! Many of you already know Dean Zietlow as a dedicated educator, distinguished scholar, and valued leader. She has served as Interim Dean while also holding the titles of Distinguished University Professor and Charles W. Fornoff Professor of Law and Values. Notably, she is making history as the first permanent woman dean of the College of Law, following Beth Eisler’s service as an interim dean.
"I am delighted to be leading the school I love and the community I care for and continuing the great work and unprecedented growth of the Toledo Law family. I look forward to serving the faculty, staff, students, and alumni of the College of Law as we continue to nurture and instruct our new lawyers in the Toledo Way for years to come."
With a B.A. from Barnard College and a J.D. from Yale Law School, Dean Zietlow brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and passion to this role. We are excited to see her vision continue to shape the College of Law.
Please join us in congratulating Dean Zietlow on this well-earned appointment!
