Dear Families, past, present, and forever part of this home,

As I prepare to close this chapter after more than 30 years, my heart is incredibly full, and incredibly heavy. This home has been more than a place of childcare. It has been a place where tiny lives began, where first words were spoken, first steps were taken, tears were wiped, and love was given freely every single day. I have had the honor of caring for some of you as children, and years later welcoming your children through the very same door. To witness generations grow, babies becoming parents, families returning with new little ones, is something few people ever get to experience, and it is a gift I will cherish forever.

Over the years, this home was also recognized in ways that deeply humbled me. I was honored to be the first Type A childcare provider in Northwest Ohio, a milestone that opened doors not just for me, but for what high-quality childcare could look like in our community. I had the opportunity to share this work through a long running PBS interview. I was also incredibly honored to receive the Shining Star Award. This program earned a 5-Star rating, now known as a Gold rating, along with other recognitions throughout the years.

This journey was never mine alone. Along the way, I was surrounded by extraordinary employees who poured their hearts into this home just as I did. They loved these children, protected them, taught them, and showed up every single day with patience, compassion, and dedication. They became familiar faces, trusted arms, and safe places for so many of your little ones, and for that, I will be forever grateful.

For the past 15 years, I was especially blessed to work alongside my daughter-in-law, Cindy and grand-daughter Chelsea. There are no words big enough to express what they have meant to this home and to me. They gave their time, their energy, their hearts, and their unwavering love to these children and to this dream. Together, we shared long days, early mornings, late nights, tears, laughter, and countless moments that will live in my heart forever. What we built together was more than a business, it was a labor of love, and I could not have done it without them.

None of this would have been possible without my husband. His support was often behind the scenes, yet felt in every corner of this home. He loved these children as if they were his own, fixing what was broken, stepping in when an extra set of hands was needed, offering comfort, laughter, and safety. To so many, he wasn’t just my husband, he was their “papa.” His heart for these children, his patience, and his unwavering belief in what we were building here carried us through the long days and the hardest moments. This place holds his love just as deeply as it holds mine, and I will forever be grateful for the way he helped shape this home.

One of the greatest blessings this journey gave me was the opportunity to help raise my own grandchildren, and even my great-grandchildren, within these very walls. To love them not only as family, but to walk beside them in their earliest days, was a gift beyond words.

Thank you for trusting us with the most precious part of your lives. Thank you for allowing us to be part of your children’s earliest memories, their routines, their comfort, and their growth. Each child left a permanent mark on my heart, and every family became part of my extended family.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for over 30 years of trust, loyalty, and love. It has been the greatest honor of my life to be part of your families’ beginnings, and in some cases, your beginnings twice over.

We just finished up our first inspection for the fiscal year with flying colors! 🥳 We only had one thing “wrong” which was a checkmark on a form and was fixed while she was here. Thank you parents, you’re a big help with this when we need you to be. 🥰

We did some activities played some games, wore our costumes, ran around outside, danced to spooky music, ate treats and took a good nap!
