Our Community Helpers series continues! This month at Mom’s House, we’re celebrating the incredible people who help make our mission possible, including our dedicated Board of Directors.

Today, we’re highlighting Deb Ciecka and her commitment to Mom’s House and the families we serve.

Here’s what Deb has to say about their involvement with Mom’s House:

“As a retired administrator at Owens CC I wanted to give back to my community in a meaningful way, and working with Mom’s House seemed like a great fit with my past life experiences. I fell in love with the program, philosophy, staff and the way Mom’s House is making a difference in the lives of young children, breaking the cycle of poverty for so many. ”

This month at Mom's House, our theme is Community Helpers. And what better way to kick things off than by celebrating the very community that keeps our mission moving forward? Our incredible Board of Directors!
All month long, we will be highlighting our board members and the local heroes who make our work possible.

It’s back-to-school season!

You see the posts, meet new friends and teachers, and reconnect with familiar faces. After a break, there’s something comforting about getting back into a routine, and our preschoolers are settling right back in!

We asked a few of our little ones to tell us about themselves, and we learned that for this young lady, she doesn’t really have a favorite food…as long as it’s Ms. Kat’s cooking! 😂

It’s no surprise, either. Our Nutrition Coordinator, Ms. Kat, prepares meals for both Mom’s House locations, and our kids absolutely devour them!

We’re pretty sure that makes her a preschool favorite, too.

Elizabeth is kind, quick-witted, and always knows how to bring a little humor to any conversation. She is also incredibly selfless, and her steady presence and genuine care for others never go unnoticed.

We’re so grateful to have Elizabeth on our team and for all the heart she brings to Mom’s House.
