Each lesson is taught by a qualified swim instructor/lifeguard. Some class levels have prerequisite skills required. An instructor will assist you if you are unsure which level to register your child in. We reserve the right to change your child’s placement after the first class if we determine that he/she is registered into the wrong level. Your child will receive a certificate at the end of each session to advise you of the level that he/she will be in for the next session. Please be aware that most children require many sessions at the same level to learn all skills that it takes to move to the next level of classes. Super Saturday
Children participate in a variety of recreational activities including open swimming in our heated, indoor pool; arts and crafts; gym games; open gym and socialization with their peers. Our building includes a full sized gymnasium, indoor, heated pool, and large activity rooms. In the nice weather, our large fenced playground is also available for the children. Back to school!
Our Head Start classroom children are busier than ever!
The wheels on the bus are going round and round in our Back to School study! The children have enjoyed a week of fun activities. They started off the week with using their rulers and measuring books, scissors, & pencils. They learned about inches, centimeters, and millimeters as well. The children also sharpened their fine motor skills by stringing beads. They enjoyed a science experiment by taking our broken crayons and melting them to create new crayons so they can make cool art. Patterns were also on our agenda this week. The children learned how to extend their patterns using our colored blocks. Last but not least, the children worked hard on tracing their names while outside getting fresh air. The children are excited about the fun activities that are coming up so stay tuned!

Thank you to Head Start teachers Ms. Ronica and Ms. Miriam for enriching and fun lessons!

Pint-sized learners, massive fun!

Teacher Ms. Ronica explains!

Our Head Start friends are enjoying our "Back To School" study. This week the children learned about patterns and they made pattern friendship bracelets. They also sharpening their math with a counting and puzzle activity. Sorting was on our agenda this week and they sorted eggs by colors. We ended our week with a literacy activity where the children used their name cards to put their first name in the correct order on a big pencil. We have a lot more learning experience to unpack, so stay tuned.

Thank you to our Head Start teachers, Ms. Ronica and Ms. Miriam!

Family Program - fun for all!
Program Director, Ms. Gidget explains:

Another successful Parent Engagement afternoon! Our Early Head Start Program Director, Ms. Gidget, explains: “This month we focused on development skills and self-expression. Art of all ages was donated from the classrooms. This included examples of infant scribbles - 3rd grade art. Literature handed out gave parents information about how drawing at all ages develops writing and language skills. The literature also gave tips how to encourage these skills.

Children from our Summer Camp group. Amina, London and Khloe did a fabulous job creating the signs for the "Art Show" and helping set up. The girls also helped me run the event by handing out snacks and our freebies. We gave each child a box of 24 crayons and a notebook. I was able to mingle and talk with the parents about the literature given and the drawings their children were creating at the time. I am happy to report we had 78 people come through for this event”!
A big THANK YOU to the Anderson Foundation for the grant “Growing Together” that helped to support this event!

Another big thank you to Ms. Gidget for arranging this great event!
