🎭 Exciting news for local theater and our school community! 🎭

Maumee Valley Country Day School is proud to host the Northwest Ohio Theatre Educators Network as they stage a special collaborative production of the award-winning musical, Come From Away!

Commemorating the 25th anniversary of 9/11, this heartwarming production brings together talented student actors and production crews from high schools across Northwest Ohio, co-directed by MVCDS’s very own Brian Bozanich alongside Jo Beth Gonzalez from Bowling Green High School. Come From Away tells the inspiring true story of how a small town in Newfoundland opened its hearts and doors to 7,000 stranded airline passengers on September 11, 2001, a powerful reminder of unity, hope, and compassion.

MVCDS students and Universal Health Aid (UHA) Toledo are partnering to host a 100% FREE Health Fair for our local community. No insurance, ID, or pre-registration is required.

Here is what’s included for FREE:

• Medical Care: Sports physicals, general wellness checks, and vision tests
• Consultations: Dental consultations & mental health resources
• Community Support: Free haircuts, menstrual products, and warm meals

📅 When: Saturday, August 8 | 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

History came to life for students during this year’s Ordinary Decent Folk: Exploring the Intersection of Pain and Public Art Intensive.

Traveling through Berlin, Warsaw, Kraków, and Prague, students explored Holocaust history, visited powerful memorials and cultural sites, and reflected on how public art helps preserve memory and inspire understanding. A traditional Polish dinner and countless meaningful experiences made this a journey they won’t soon forget.
