Marta Annette Cruz is a professional dance instructor from Puerto Rico currently based in Detroit, Michigan. She has 25+ years of dance experience across various genres. Along with her dance partner, Alejandro, the M&A partnership began in December 2018, and together they own M&A DanceLab Studio , in the Metro Detroit suburb of Livonia. They teach weekly Bachata, Kizomba, Salsa and Technique lessons and host two socials a month.

M&A DanceLab Studio is focused on teaching adult dancers, providing instruction on fundamentals and how to apply them in social dancing and for performances. They also co-direct the Kizomba Tá Doce and Turquoise Dance Company student performance teams, both which have won World Championship placements in Bachata, Kizomba and Salsa at The Summit Championship and Euroson.

In addition to their weekly class offering, Marta & Alejandro also train other teams, and teach and perform at festivals and congresses. They enjoy traveling to teach and share their knowledge with growing dance communities!

About our instructor:
Diana Cruz is a dancer, performer, choreographer, educator, producer and, fundamentally, a tireless and passionate researcher of methods and expressions of Movement. Originally from Paraguay, she has danced for various ballet, contemporary and modern dance companies in Paraguay, Argentina, and the United States. She is a certified Comprehensive Pilates Instructor by BASI (Body Arts and Science International). Her encounter with Tango has fostered yet another twist in her never-ending journey of exploring new ways of moving and expressing.

Miss Cruz has also created her own line of Tango dance shoes for women, under the name Cruzartango.

Whether you are looking for a custom-choreographed dance or just want to feel comfortable on the dance floor, let Paulette's Studio of Dance help you!

We recommend scheduling lessons at least 3-4 months before the wedding date to be prepared and to feel confident and relaxed. Need last minute help? Don't worry - we can work with you too.

Our instructors can also teach lessons for the father/daughter, mother/son, or the wedding party . Choose your special song or let us help with our extensive library of wedding music.

It's that time again! Our students are putting in the hard work to bring you an amazing show! Join us on Saturday, October 3rd to get a taste of what goes on at Paulette's Studio of Dance.

Doors open at 6:30pm, show begins at 7pm.

Due to the content of some of the performances - this show is strictly for ages 18 and over. There is limited seating so make sure to grab your tickets!

Did you know that we offer access to our pole and ballroom studio spaces for personal practice during the week?

For just $35 per person, you'll have a whole hour where you can utilize our studio space! A member of our team will be there to let you in and be present to supervise the studio but the rest will be up to you, whether you want to rehearse a routine or work on your technique.

**Aerial practice is unavailable at this time

**Open Studio rentals are meant for personal practice ONLY. At this time we are unable to rent the studio to outside instructors to teach classes.

Times available are Monday through Friday from 10am to 4pm.

This all-levels group class is designed to help you master the basics of Ballroom/Latin dancing. You will be able to dance your new steps at a party, a wedding, or a social event.

All skill levels are welcome
No partner is required
$15 per person

**There are no ballroom group classes on the 4th Friday of the month **

Dance Pass 10 Class package is available for $150. Dance pass may be shared by a couple.

Dress casual and wear comfortable shoes that you can pivot in (athletic shoes and flip-flops are not recommended).

Join us for Argentine Tango Lesson and Practica on Tuesdays at 7:30pm.

The first part is a mini-lesson with technique followed by partner work to review steps and work on different moves at the beginning. For the remainder of the night the music will be playing to give people a chance to dance.

All levels are welcome, including beginners. No partner necessary.

This 1.5 level class is for students with a solid foundation of beginner pole dance skills wanting to grow their repertoire of moves.

Skills required to enter this class: smooth pirouettes, solid pole sits with variations, basic climbs, basic spins (such as back/front hooks, fireman, knee spin and step arounds) as well as a good start on connecting moves together into small combos.
