REMINDER: Today (even if it's raining) is the last day to pick up student belongings. We are in the loop line from 1:00-3:00 this afternoon and 5:00-7:00 this evening. You never know what surprises you may find in your bag!

We are here & ready to see our students! There is a bag for everyone 😀

Monday, May 11th
Students with last names beginning with A - F
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
(Staff assignment: Kindergarten & 6th Grade & Speech)

Parents and students will need to remain in their car while materials are collected and/or returned. We will be following the same strict social distancing guidelines that Governor DeWine has in place.

Staff members will bring student items to the car in the loop line. If you have items to return to school, please give those to staff when they arrive at the car. Return items will be placed in a bin by the student/parent.

Dear WLS Parent or Guardian,

Washington Local School students will have the opportunity to drop off library books, textbooks that are no longer needed, and to collect any personal items left in their classroom and/or locker during the week of May 11-14. Please see the schedule for Hiawatha Elementary School below. All materials that need to be dropped off and collected will be exchanged in the school’s loop line. Parents and students will need to remain in their car while materials are collected and/or returned. We will be following the same strict social distancing guidelines that Governor DeWine has in place.

Please only come if you have belongings to retrieve or items to return. Thank you in advance for your cooperation!

10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
(Staff assignment: 1st Grade & 5th Grade & OT & Library Clerk)

Wednesday, May 13th
Students with last names beginning with N - S
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
(Staff assignment: 2nd Grade & 4th Grade & PT & Nurse)

Thursday, May 14th
Students with last names beginning with T - Z
10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon
1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
(Staff assignment: 3rd Grade & Special Areas)

Any students who have not been able to collect their belongings. A - Z
5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
(Staff assignment: Counselor & School Psychologist & Title 1 Reading)

Special Education staff will attend on the grade level day that most aligns with their students.

Staff members will bring student items to the car in the loop line. If you have items to return to school, please give those to staff when they arrive at the car. Return items will be placed in a bin by the student/parent. Staff will place return items in a designated space defined by the building principal. All returned items will be placed in a specific room in the building and will be quarantined for 14 days.

Mr. Bernhardt wants to personally invite everyone to drive through the loop line tomorrow, Tuesday 4/28 from 10 to noon to get a book! Hope you can make it!
