📢 Reminder for AJHAE Families

Ann Jerkins-Harris Academy of Excellence will be closed on Monday, February 16th in observance of Presidents’ Day.

There will be no school and classes will resume on the next scheduled school day. We hope our students and families enjoy the extended weekend!

Teachers have already posted assignments in Google Classroom, so be sure to log in, stay focused, and get your work completed.

Good evening, AJHAE Families,

For the next two days, AJHAE will operate as virtual/alternative learning/ days for all students.

Today, teachers will be reaching out to families and students via ClassDojo, email, and phone (if necessary) to share instructions and expectations.

On Thursday and Friday, teachers will be available to students and families through ClassDojo and/or Google Classroom to support learning, answer questions, and provide guidance.

📚 School-Wide Reading Expectation:
All students are required to read aloud for at least 20 minutes each day. This is a school-wide expectation for all grade levels and an important part of maintaining learning continuity.

If you have any questions, concerns, or need support, please do not hesitate to reach out to your child’s teacher or the school. We appreciate your partnership and flexibility as we work together to support our students.

If you have not had any communication with your child's teacher, please respond to this message so that the administration can intervene.

Due to the Toledo weather forecast and anticipated hazardous conditions, Ann Jerkins-Harris Academy of Excellence (AJHAE) will be CLOSED on Wednesday , January 28, 2026.
This decision was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families.
