⭐LUKAS League = League of Upstanding Kindness At School⭐
LUKAS League had a busy morning! We announced students from 4th grade who were caught being KIND!
We had a special guest, Mrs. Mason (Lukas' mom) come to visit! She was so excited to be part of our last shirt drawing for the year! 20 students who've had their name submitted to the LUKAS League Headquarters this year, won a t-shirt!🏆
Mrs. Mason personally thanked these students for using their 20 square feet to make a difference!
Way to go, JETS!🚀

The halls of Jerusalem were buzzing with creative energy today! We were thrilled to host the wonderful author Shannon Anderson for a day dedicated to the magic of storytelling and writing.
It was an action-packed schedule from start to finish:
Inspiring Every Grade: Shannon led high-energy presentations for our Kindergarteners all the way through 4th grade, sparking a love for reading in every student!
VIP Lunch: Our Claire’s Day winners enjoyed a special "Author Lunch," getting a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a writer!
Young Authors Workshop: Our 3rd and 4th graders got to sharpen their pencils for three intensive writing sessions, learning expert tips on how to bring their own stories to life.
A Huge Thank You! This incredible day was made possible thanks to the generous support of a grant from Right To Read and the Jerusalem Parents Group. Thank you for investing in our students' literacy and creativity!

Mrs. Sneed and Mrs. Swangstu are happy to share that our Jets were well-represented at the 11th Annual Ode to the Zip Code poetry reading!
Students Graham Seibert, Annabel Leis, Ty Watts, Sawyer Donley, Harper Duris, Jonas Stininger and Paxton Phillips attended the awards ceremony at the main library to read their poems aloud.
🏆Congratulations to Ty, who won first place in the Youth Category!
All of our fourth graders wrote about their neighborhoods in poems inspired by their zip codes. Additional finalists were: Cole Mack, Mia Cannon, Gracie Kitzler, Vicente Becerra, and Peyton McCaskey.
The finalists were published in the Toledo City Paper. The top three winners also received a cash prize! The contest is hosted by Toledo City Paper, The Fair Housing Center, The Arts Commission, and the Toledo Lucas County Public Library. Fun fact: A Jerusalem student, Theo Decker, won first place last year, too!

Last night, our 2nd graders presented "The Box" to a standing room crowd!
A special thank you to the Jerusalem Township Fire-Rescue and Oregon Ohio Fire and Rescue Department for donating the fire helmets that were used as part of the performance and the students got to keep!
Mrs. Porter and the 2nd graders did a fantastic job learning their parts and entertaining students and staff in the afternoon and their families at night. Thank you also to our Jet and OCS Families for your continued support of our students!
