TJP would like to thank Acoustics for Autism - Project IAm for their support of our swimmers on the autism spectrum.

Children with autism are 160 times more likely to die from drowning, making access to swim instruction and water safety education incredibly important.

We appreciate Project IAm for helping us continue to support our families and keep our children safer around water.

💙🧡 PARTNER HIGHLIGHT: SAFESPLASH SWIM SCHOOL

At The Josh Project, our goal has never been for a child’s swimming journey to end after six weeks. That’s why we created continued swim pathways that give our swimmers opportunities to keep learning, growing, and becoming stronger and safer in the water.

SafeSplash Swim School - Holland is one of those pathways.

Since launching this pathway in April, close to 100 TJP swimmers have transitioned through SafeSplash for continued swim instruction. We’ve watched swimmers level up, gain confidence, strengthen their skills, and continue progressing well beyond their initial lessons with The Josh Project.

Our partnership also extends beyond swim lessons. SafeSplash partners with us for our Annual Water Safety Day each May, joining The Josh Project in educating families and raising awareness about water safety throughout our community.

This is what intentional partnership looks like. We’re not simply providing swim lessons. We’re creating pathways for continued growth and giving children the opportunity to KEEP SWIMMING. 💙🧡

Thank you, SafeSplash Swim School, for believing in our swimmers and continuing this journey alongside us.

🌊 We are happy to announce our partnership with Outdoor Afro through their Making Waves initiative!

Through this partnership, children who registered for The Josh Project’s Fall 2026 program and are accepted will have the opportunity to receive swim lessons at NO COST to their families.

🏊🏽 6 weeks of swim lessons through The Josh Project
➕ 3 additional months of continued swim instruction at SafeSplash Swim School - Holland

That’s 18 swim lessons at NO COST for 60 swimmers, that is huge.

This partnership allows us to remove a financial barrier while giving our swimmers more time in the water to learn, grow, build confidence, and develop lifesaving skills.

We are grateful to Outdoor Afro for investing in water safety and supporting our continued efforts to expand access to swim education for children and families in our community.

Registration is complete, and we are excited about what’s ahead for our Fall 2026 swimmers!

🌊🏊 LESS THAN 24 HOURS TO GO! 🏊🌊

Tomorrow is the day! The Josh Project’s Fall 2026 Swim Registration is almost here, and the response from our community has been incredible!

We have received over 100 inquiries from families interested in getting their children into swim lessons, and tomorrow we have ONLY 60 program slots available.

But we aren’t just looking to fill 60 spots.

We’re looking for families who are READY TO COMMIT! 🙌🏽

This is MORE than six weeks of swim lessons. All 60 children will begin with our six-week beginner swim program at St. Francis de Sales School. Following the six-week session:

🏊 Up to 50 children will continue for three additional months of swim lessons at SafeSplash Swim School.

🏊 Up to 10 children may transition to Greater Toledo Aquatic Club (GTAC) based on readiness and program placement.

Families will also participate in required Mental Health & Wellness Training and Hands-Only CPR during the scholarship period.

With so many children waiting for this opportunity, we want every available spot to go to a family that is prepared to show up, participate, and commit to the full program opportunity.

WHAT IF THE 60 SPOTS ARE FILLED?

Don’t be discouraged!

We will have a waiting list available tomorrow. Families placed on the waiting list will receive priority placement for our next available session and will not have to return for another in-person registration process.

📅 TOMORROW, Saturday, August 29
⏰ 12:00 PM–1:00 PM
📍 Mott Branch Library
1010 Dorr St., Toledo, OH 43607

⚠️ The parent/guardian AND child must be present.

We are excited to meet our next group of TJP families tomorrow!

60 children. One opportunity that extends beyond six weeks. A pathway designed to keep children learning, progressing, and becoming safer and more confident in the water. 🌊

And for those who don’t make this session, we’re not forgetting about you. We’re already looking ahead to what’s next.
