K-8 Arrival & Dismissal reminders for 2026-2027! Preschool teachers will communicate details for arrival and dismissal with families.

Key Points:

Breakfast is served for all students at 8:45 a.m. All students may receive breakfast. If not eating breakfast, students enter at 8:55 a.m.

Please be sure your child(ren) arrives by 9:00 a.m.

If picking up your child(ren) from school, please wait outside the yellow lines. This avoids crowding outside the main doors.

Unless you have a scheduled appointment (i.e., doctor), please do not pick your child(ren) up early. Every minute of absence counts toward student absenteeism. This limits disruptions to classrooms as well.

Happy August, Garfield Families!

If you reside more than one mile from Garfield, your student(s) is eligible for transportation services, with a designated pick-up/drop-off site. If you have not already requested transportation, and would like to have bussing arranged for the first day of school, please be sure to call the school office at 419.671.7550 or email our school secretary, Mrs. Rachel Jaffe at [email protected] by the end of day this Friday, August 7.

If your student(s) has mobility concerns or special health needs, transportation is provided in accordance with the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP). If you have moved and your child is receiving special transportation services, please contact your School Assistance Center at 419.671.8901 as soon as possible to maintain uninterrupted service.

Unfortunately, students attending Garfield on an Intra-District (IDT) permit are not provided transportation.
