Celebrating our GapQuest: Gap Year Experience graduates this week!

Kiha Woods spent the last 11 months employed as a Patient Service Coordinator at the ProMedica Allergy & Immunology office in Perrysburg for her gap year co-op position! She learned valuable skills in customer service, patient registration, billing, and business office procedures. Kiha was made for working with people and was loved by her patients, co-workers, and supervisors! This young woman is a master networker and makes it her job to brighten everyone's day and always bring sunshine and empathy wherever she goes! Kiha has always had a love for making things beautiful and has recently enrolled in the Cosmetology program at Paul Mitchell the School - Toledo! She'll be pursuing her cosmetology license and working part-time! We are so proud of you, Kiha! gapquest.org

Celebrating the next steps of our GapQuest: Gap Year Experience graduates this week!!

Lily spent her 11-month gap year working in skilled trades positions with NeighborWorks Toledo Region and Hill Construction. She has learned valuable skills as a home weatherization tech and as a carpentry assistant. She was also the recipient of a $1500 Gap Year Sustainability Scholarship for her work weatherizing homes for low-income families. In 2 weeks, Lily will be traveling to Biloxi, Mississippi, where she will be serving as a construction intern for 4 months with Back Bay Mission - an organization that rehabs homes after hurricanes and provides home repairs to low income families. We are so excited to see where this new opportunity will lead! She's a hard-worker, isn't afraid to get dirty, and has so many options for her future! gapquest.org

GapQuest: Gap Year Experience is excited to share the next steps of our graduates as they finish out their gap year with us this week!

Alexis has worked for the past 11 months as an Ophthalmic Technician for ProMedica Vision Associates. She is loved by her patients, co-workers, and supervisors and plans to stay employed with ProMedica and take advantage of their tuition reimbursement program to help pay for her classes at Owens Community College! This young woman was made for a career in healthcare and shines best when working one-on-one with patients and calming their fears and concerns! We're so proud of Lex and excited that she is renewing her lease at our apartment complex so we don't really have to say goodbye!:) gapquest.org
