Whether you prefer online learning or traditional textbooks, our team is here to support you with all your homeschooling needs. Statewide Enrollment: We accept students from Kindergarten through 12th grade from all communities within Alaska. Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on or before September 1st, while Pre-K students must be 4 years old on or before September 1st. Students must be under 20 years old before September 21st, unless they qualify for Special Education Services. Accessible Education: Any Alaskan of school age without a high school diploma or GED can apply to enroll at no cost. Siblings who are 4 years old can also enroll at a reduced allotment rate for core courses. Generous Allotments: Our student allotments are among the highest in the state, giving you more flexibility and resources for your child’s education. Curriculum Freedom: We assist you in choosing a curriculum but do not impose restrictions on your choices. You can opt for either online learning, traditional textbooks, or a blend of both. Financial Support: We provide reimbursement for internet fees and do not require deposits for computer purchases. Resourceful Centers: Our parent resource center is stocked with a wide variety of supplemental and hands-on resources to enrich your child’s learning experience. Flexible Spending: Parents, as the primary educators, enjoy greater freedom in managing allotment funds compared to other statewide programs. Accessible Information: All program forms and information are available both online and in print for your convenience.
