Just checking in to say hello and update things. I have settled into retirement. Staying busy and getting to do things that I have put off for a long time. I am staying active in church and I invite all of you to join us any Sunday at Tugalo Baptist Church. You would love it there. I finally booked that trip to Montana to ride snowmobiles. We are going in December. I keep up with many of you on facebook and love seeing the kids grow. Keep posting. I love to see thier faces.

Today is so bittersweet. It is my last day at Peanut Patch. I have been almost every single day for 36 years except for a couple of days to get a heart stent, or a gallbladder out. I even called in sick one day in the 36 years. But all that aside it is time to focus on me, my husband and my family. We have all given a lot over the years to make my dream come true. I loved what I did and I have met some of the nicest and dearest people that you could ever meet. I have loved on some precious little ones. And I have made family out of so many of the families that I have met. This will be one of the hardest things that I have ever done. To walk away today knowing it is the last time will be so very hard. But the friendships and relationships that have formed are priceless. I am not going far just to Eastanollee. I want to thank my staff for sticking by me until the last and the families for allowing us to be part of their family in a small way. I will pray for all of the families and my staff who have made my transition into retirement so hard in some ways and easy in others. Hard to leave them but they have taken so much burden off me while I am going through this. As I leave know that part of me is staying right here at Patch.

The schools are closing due to the threat of severe weather. We plan to stay open however we are monitoring the situation. If you are off or able to pick your kids up early we would appreciate it. We could lose power and that would make it difficult to care for a building full of students. If we decide to close early we will post it.

We have an immediate opening for a childcare teacher. Must be 18 or older and have a high school diploma or GED or associate degree. We do accept CDA and TCC's as well. Must be able to work full time and have transportation. Drop off a resume or email it to [email protected].
