Congratulations to Brian Cerniglia on successfully completing both his TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and TDI Helitrox Decompression Diver certifications over the past several days.

Brian is the part owner of Liberty Divers in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and his commitment to becoming a better diver is a testament to the professionalism he brings to the dive community. Investing in your own training is one of the best ways to better serve others, and Brian exemplified that throughout this course.

Beyond diving, Brian is well known for his passion for history. He has appeared on the History Channel as an expert Civil War artifact hunter, where his knowledge and dedication to historical preservation have been recognized. He is also someone who gives back to his community, contributing countless hours and sharing his expertise to help educate others and preserve local history. His reputation is built not only on his knowledge, but also on his willingness to serve those around him.

These were long, demanding days filled with new skills, problem-solving, and continuous learning. Brian met every challenge with determination and never backed down from the work. He demonstrated excellent proficiency throughout the course and consistently showed a willingness to learn, improve, and push himself beyond his comfort zone.

The diver who walked into class was not the same diver who walked out. His confidence, situational awareness, buoyancy, gas management, and overall technical diving skills grew tremendously through hard work and dedication.

What stood out most was Brian's attitude. Even after the scheduled training day was over, he was always ready to keep going, continue practicing, and refine his skills. That "never quit" mindset is what separates good divers from exceptional ones. Technical diving demands discipline, humility, and a commitment to continuous improvement, and Brian embodied those qualities every step of the way.

Congratulations, Brian. You earned these certifications through perseverance, discipline, and determination. It was a privilege to watch your progress throughout the course. I have no doubt you'll continue to grow as a technical diver while bringing that same passion, professionalism, and pursuit of excellence back to Liberty Divers, your community, and everyone who has the opportunity to dive alongside you.

WE HAVE BEEN INUNDATED WITH SPAM CALLS... Due to a significant increase in spam calls during business hours, we have suspended direct calls to our number. You may still leave a voicemail, and we will return your call as promptly as possible.

Unfortunately, we are getting over 10 calls each day and that is just too much to deal with and still effectively manage legitimate inquiries. We are looking at getting a new number if we cannot find a solution. We have had the same number for our business for almost 10 years so this is very distressing.

We are on the National Do Not Call list. We have been in contact with our carrier. We have reported this to the FCC. Nothing has resolved our issue. Below is a transcript of what we get all the time:

"Hello and please don’t hang up. We tried to contact you numerous times about your Google business listing. Our records show your Google business listing may be suspended or not verified through Google. This can cause customers searching for your services to not be able to find your business online. Press 1 to speak with a listing pro expert so we can quickly check the status of your Google business listing. This will only take a few minutes. Press 9 if you wish to be removed from this list. Thank you and have a nice day.”

We appreciate your business and apologize for any inconvenience. Please know we are committed to providing the high level of service you have come to expect while we work on a resolution.

Today, we ask our community to simply remember.

Remember the men and women who answered their nation’s call and never made it home. Remember those who could laugh and fight at the same time. Remember those who gave up not only the life they were living, but the life they would have lived. The families they would have raised, the years they never got to see, and the chance to one day grow old surrounded by those they loved.

But also remember those who came home carrying burdens that never truly left them. The service members still fighting battles long after the war ended. The ones who returned physically, but still struggle each day to find peace from the memories and weight they carry in silence.

Remember the Gold Star families whose lives were forever changed. Families who still feel the absence at the dinner table, during holidays, and in the quiet moments that never seem to get easier.

Memorial Day is not about sales or celebration. It is about sacrifice. It is about remembering the human cost of freedom and honoring those who gave everything for people they would never meet.

So today, slow down. Say their names. Visit the memorials. Fly the flag with purpose.

And when you do, pray. Pray for the families carrying loss. Pray for those still battling the war within. Pray that we never become so distracted as a nation that we forget the price paid for the freedoms we enjoy.

May we never forget.

This week, Deep Adventures will be closed in observance of Memorial Day. We will not be taking calls, scheduling clients, or running holiday specials.

As a Veteran owned and operated business, Memorial Day means more to us than a long weekend or a sales event. It is a time to remember our brothers and sisters who never made it home, both those lost overseas in service to this country and those lost later to the war within.

For many families, this weekend is not a celebration. It is a reminder of an empty chair, a folded flag, a voice they still miss, and sacrifices that never truly ended.

Out of respect for that, we are stepping away from business this week.

The only calls we will answer are from our Gold Star families and the brothers and sisters who will be remembering the fallen alongside us.

Some things are bigger than business.

We remember them. Always.

We have a new member of the family here. This here is Lucille... She is a nice smooth operator and does so well. She is. 16 foot Bris inflatable with Aluminum deck. She is accompanied and pushed by a Tohatsu 30hp 4 stroke.

This will make a great experience for those divers and small boat trips. Maybe even now a river boat for Florida caves... hmmmm....
