Making some noise in 6th Grade General Music!

Our students put rhythm into action with bucket drumming! This hands-on activity is a fun way to build rhythm, coordination, listening skills, and teamwork all while making music together.

Learning music doesn’t always require traditional instruments…sometimes all you need is a bucket and a beat!

What a night for SCMS! The Rebels picked up an excellent win to move to 2-0 on the season! 🔴⚫️

It was the perfect way to cap off 8th Grade Recognition Night. A huge shoutout to all of our 8th graders who were recognized tonight — our football players, cheerleaders, band members, and auxiliary squad! We’re proud of the way you represent SCMS!

Learning Outside the Classroom!

A few of our 7th graders wanted to know Mr. Rodney’s secret to keeping the SCMS windows looking so good—so they jumped right in to learn from the best and lend a hand! 💪

We love seeing our students take initiative, serve others, and learn that leadership can happen anywhere. And a big thank you to Mr. Rodney for taking the time to teach them a few tricks of the trade!

Math in Action at SCMS!

Who knew cup stacking could turn into a statistics lesson?! Students put their skills to the test with a cup-stacking challenge, then used the data they collected to calculate mean, median, mode, and range.

They also put their statistics skills to work with M&M’s 🍫—because math is always a little better when you can eat the data!

We love seeing our students learning by doing and making real-world connections in the classroom! ❤️🖤
