Public Comment on 2021-22 Statewide Accountability System

2022 will be Rhode Island's first year back to our statewide accountability system, including Star Ratings and school identifications. This year RIDE aims to keep school accountability as consistent as possible with previous years. However, some one-year adjustments are necessary.
To implement one-year changes to the statewide accountability system, RIDE intends to seek an addendum to the state’s ESSA State Plan for the 2021-22 school year. Public comment on the addendum may be submitted by email to [email protected] and will be accepted through Wednesday, July 6th. For more detail, and to read the proposed addendum, please visit our Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) webpage.
RIDE will be available during the following virtual "office hours" for school and LEA leaders to discuss any questions about the Addendum and 2022 Accountability:
