Millage helps Brevard Public Schools continue offering programs that keep students learning, active, and prepared for the future.This is not a new tax.
It funds a dedicated STEM instructor in every elementary school. This is an added teaching position that gives young students hands-on experiences in science, technology, engineering, and math.
Our STEM instructor, Ms. Huerta works with our students every day. Early exposure to STEM builds problem-solving skills and strengthens critical thinking.

Our Makerspace Club is designed to spark curiosity and get students thinking about how things work, from simple machines to complex systems. Through hands-on exploration, students are applying engineering design concepts and scientific principles while building creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork.

We're just getting started, and there are so many fun and exciting projects ahead! We can't wait to see our young innovators learn, create, and discover throughout the year. 💡🔨🐾

It funds secure buildings, facility investments, and technology infrastructure — the physical spaces students learn in every day.
This year at Coquina Elementary, that meant a full classroom cabinet renovation with new cabinets and shelving.
The Sales Surtax allows Brevard Public Schools to make these needed improvements, ensuring students and staff learn and work in safe, comfortable, and resilient buildings — year after year.
