Space Coast Striders Track Club

Come on out next week and compete against some of the best athletes in the country at The Return of The Space Coast Invitational on Saturday June 20th at Astronaut High School in Titusville FL. You won't be disappointed.

Today The Space Coast Striders Track Club competed in track meets in two different venues, The FL Middle School State Championship at IMG and the Quantum Track Club All Comers track meet at Viera High School. Two different places with the same result. We brought home first place team trophies from both venues. It's a great day to be a Strider!!!!

This past Saturday we participated in The Powerhouse Showcase. Although we had a small contingent competing we came home with a total of 24 medals and numerous personal records. Stand out performances were turned in by all and highlighted by:

Jordan Stephens who went 5.31meters in the 10yr old long jump a New PR which ranks him #1 in Florida and #1 in the US the jump is actually farther than the National Record.

Acari Walker won the 14 yr old Triple jump with a leap of 9.95m( #4 Florida )

Jiaire Stephens won the 15-16yr old boys Long jump where he already is ranked #1 in Florida and #1 in the US. He also had an unofficial leap of 6.92meters. He also won the triple jump with a new PR of 13.09meters( #1 Florida, )

Da'Bar Fluellen won the 15-16yr old 400 meters in a new PR of 50.9s which ranks him #1 in Florida and #1 in the US.

O'Connor Green won the 14 yr old boys long jump with a leap of 6.06 meters which ranks him #1 in Florida.

Other standout performances were turned in by Kaysen Vernon who PR'd in the 14 yr old boys long ( #5 Florida) and in the 200meter hurdles.

Demanee Kidd was a triple medal winner
Azia Lambs and Elaina McCloud were double medal winners.

Good morning, our practice schedule this week will be as follows:
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6pm to 730pm at Astronaut High School.

We will be attending the Westchase Cheetahs Invitational meet on Saturday. If you plan on attending the meet fee of $30 is due by the end of practice on Wednesday day, April 1st. Registration closes on Wednesday.
