ππ SCHOOL BUS SAFETY: THEIR SAFETY IS IN YOUR HANDS!
Every school day, our students are counting on us to help keep them safe as they travel to and from school.
The Tishomingo County School District would like to remind all motorists of the importance of staying alert and practicing safe driving habits around school buses and school zones.
π¦ A Few Important Reminders:
π Watch for school buses. Be especially cautious during morning pickup and afternoon drop-off times.
π Respect the stop arm. When a school bus has its red lights flashing and stop arm extended, motorists must stop as required by law.
πΈ Slow down in school zones. Follow posted speed limits and remain alert for students crossing streets or entering roadways.
π΅ Eliminate distractions. Keep your attention on the road, especially when children are nearby.
β° Be patient. A few extra moments of caution can make all the difference in keeping our students safe.
β€οΈπ Every student deserves to arrive at school and return home safely. We ask everyone in our community to do their part by staying alert, following traffic laws, and putting student safety first.ππ
A Moment of Patience. A Lifetime of Difference.
