Today, we remember and celebrate the life of Dolly Parton and the incredible legacy she leaves behind. Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, countless children right here in Lake County have received the gift of a new book in their mailbox month after month. For many of our children, those books have been their first personal library, a source of imagination, comfort, learning, and countless special moments shared with family. We are so thankful for Dolly’s vision and her belief that every child deserves the opportunity to grow up surrounded by books. Her generosity has touched the lives of so many children and families in our community, and her impact will continue through every child who turns the pages of a book she helped put into their hands. Thank you, Dolly, for believing in the power of a book and for helping children dream a little bigger. Your legacy will live on in Lake County, one book and one child at a time.
