AP Physics 1 students finished out their unit on 2-Dimensional Kinematics (projectile motion) by designing and testing their own lab to solve for maximum height of a bottle rocket.

The bottle rockets were powered by a chemical reaction between vinegar and baking soda.

Students could only use a timer in their experiment, which required them to think logically through multiple kinematic equations with limited information.

It's been a delicious few weeks in Foods classes!

Nutrition classes made homemade pizza crusts using greek yogurt and adding healthy toppings, and they were delicious!

They also practiced using food thermometers and safe food handling to make Italian Chicken Strips, served with homemade ranch dressing.

Finally, Principles of Culinary & Hospitality classes also used food thermometers, and they practiced temping hotdogs, ending with pigs in a blanket!

Recently the Electronic Music/Piano Lab class had their first (private) recital. Throughout the year, students will start with the basics and grow into quite the musicians.

It has become an annual tradition during THS Parent-Teacher Conference Night for the staff to hold a Chili Cook-off!

THS staff had 11 chilis entered into the competition, making it one of the most hotly-costed and spicy competitions we've ever had.

After all votes were tallied, a huge congratulations goes out to Mrs. Glassburn as our 2026 Chili Champion!

Mr. Lyday finished 2nd in voting, followed by Officer Stout in 3rd.

Also a special thank you to the parents that were able to participate in parent-teacher conferences. If you were unable to check-in last night, teachers are available throughout the year to help. Reach out and let us know how we can partner to support your Blue Devil!

Last night, we proudly inducted 27 new members—16 seniors and 11 juniors—into the 2026–2027 National Honor Society! To qualify academically for induction, juniors must have a 4.0 GPA after two complete years of high school, and seniors must have at least a 3.75 GPA after three complete years of high school.

NHS also recognized students in the top 10% of the sophomore, junior, and senior classes, along with students in those grades who earned a GPA of 3.75 or higher.

Congratulations to all inductees and honorees on their hard work, dedication, and academic achievement!

ACP Speech students completed their first speeches yesterday and celebrated with donuts! Students presented both sides of controversial topics to inform their audience and help listeners understand different perspectives. Flock cameras, the death penalty, and prenatal genetic testing were just some of the topics discussed.

Students are building research, critical thinking, and public speaking skills while growing in confidence and improving with each opportunity to present. Indy, our therapy dog, also stopped by to support students and help ease their nerves!

This sports night is off to a great start!

The boys soccer team is up 4-0 over Twin Lakes in sectionals opener.

We also recognized the senior Lady Devils volleyball players before their matchup with TC!

The Principles of Computer Science class, (Bryson Crose, Darshan Dempsey, Joseph Hanna, Grace Long, Gabriella Mraz, Kylan Shimer,Brayden Stith, and Bryleigh Strong,) worked in teams for a programming competition. They programmed drones to land on targets and report back the color of the target.
