Bethel Local School welcomed back all of our teachers and staff members today in Bethel Hall with a convocation to celebrate the start of the 2026-2027 school year! Superintendent Nutter, Board of Education President Jackie Leskowich, and District Administration spoke about hopes for the upcoming school year. The convocation also included new staff member introductions by building principals, years of service awards for our longest-serving staff members, and a performance from the Pride of Bethel Marching Band!

Reminder! Open House for Bethel High School is Monday, August 24th, from 3:30pm to 6pm!

Reminder! Open House for Bethel Middle School is Monday, August 24th, and Tuesday, August 25th! Open House for 5th Grade will be from 5pm to 6pm on the 24th, and 6th Grade will have their Open House from 6pm to 7pm on the 24th. 7th and 8th Graders will then have their Open House the following day, August 25th, from 5pm to 7pm.

Reminder!

Open House for Bethel Elementary School is on Tuesday, August 25th! Open House for Kindergarten and 1st Grade will be from 4pm to 6pm, and Open House for 2nd Grade through 4th Grade will be from 5pm to 7pm.

Parking will be available in the front and rear parking lots of the Elementary School. Please do not park on the grass.

We were excited to welcome all of our new teachers and staff at this morning's New Hire Orientation! Bethel administrators and staff had the opportunity to have breakfast and chat with all of our new hires this morning, as well as take a tour of the district on one of our buses!

Thursday, August 27th, is the first day of school for our students in grades 2 through 12! All Kindergarten and First grade will do a Staggered Smart Start at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year, with their first day being either Thursday, August 27th, Friday, August 28th, or Monday, August 31st, depending on their group.

Parents should have received an email from Final Forms during the week of August 10th, indicating if their child was in group A, B, or C and their corresponding start date. After that first day, all K & 1st-grade students will begin coming together beginning September 1st.

For example, if your child is in group A, their first day of school will be August 27th, and then they will not return until September 1st.

Welcome back, 7th and 8th grade students! Schedules are now available for you to view on ProgressBook. If you have any questions about your student's schedule, please reach out to the school counselor, Mrs. Fast, at [email protected]. Please note that no schedule changes will be made before Friday, August 28th. Information about the schedule change request will be sent out soon. Not all schedule change requests can be honored due to class sizes.
