A Kansas mother who helped change state law after losing her 14-year-old son to sextortion is now taking her fight for online child safety to Washington.

Morgan Moore traveled to Washington, D.C., this week to advocate for the Kids Online Safety Act, or KOSA, as the legislation advanced out of a U.S. Senate committee.

Moore’s son, Caleb, of El Dorado, died by su***de in June 2025 after he was targeted in an online sextortion scheme. In 2024, I ran 3,125 miles coast to coast along historic Highway 50, completing 120 marathons in 125 days. I carried the names of eleven children lost to digital America every step of the way. Still America is what I found.
