Yesterday Timpson FFA had two teams competing at the Huntington FFA Build Off. Team 1 started out a little rough but after overcoming some issues they ended up placing 3rd and putting out a quality project. Congratulate the following students on a job well done.

Timpson FFA at the State Fair of Texas Ag Awareness Day! 🤠🐄

Timpson FFA joined chapters from across the state for the State Fair of Texas Ag Awareness Day! A huge thank you to Tuffy Green for driving 46 students to Dallas for the day.

Members explored Go Texan exhibits, visited the petting zoo and livestock barns, and—of course—rode the carnival rides and enjoyed some awesome fair food! 🎡🌽 State FFA officers greeted our chapter members and collected donations for a statewide food drive.

A special highlight of the trip? A stop at Buc-ee's! 🦫

🎉 Timpson FFA Shines at the State Fair of Texas Agriscience Fair! 🎉

Ira Willhoite, TJ Allen, and Carter Gaddy represented Timpson FFA at the State Fair of Texas Agriscience Fair in Dallas today!

Approximately 60 students from across the state shared their agriscience research with judges from industry and universities. We are so proud of our students for researching agriscience topics, writing scholastic papers, and preparing interview presentations. Way to go above and beyond! 🌟

100% of our exhibitors made the sale at the Poultry Festival — what an incredible accomplishment!

Timpson had a great day at the 50th Annual Poultry Festival. We were represented by 36 projects with a little over 50 students showing. It was a great day and Timpson came out of it with 18 of 40 class placings, 5 of 8 class wins, and 14 of 32 sales spots. The following are the projects that we had place:

The awards program is a 4pm with the live auction following at 5pm.

I would recommend all students come to the square at 4pm to represent our school in the awards ceremony for the Ag Mechanics show. There are numerous individual project awards and school wide awards. If your project didnt place it was put into the silent auction, unless specified differently. It would be good to show up early and talk with possible buyers about your project. You would be amazed at the difference a small conversation could make.

The following students need to come to the square at 10:30 am on Saturday morning if at all possible. This means your project made the live auction. We have to move projects around for the live auction to help with the flow of things Saturday evening. Mr. Harrison cant drive anyone this year so you will need to have transportation there.
