🐻Another week of excellence at Timpson ISD🐻

Here are some of this week’s EPIC accomplishments at TISD:

⭐️Mrs. Leigeber began her character development program using resources from the Congressional Medal of Honor Society. This program will be a great opportunity to help our students learn about courage, commitment, integrity, sacrifice, citizenship, & patriotism.

⭐️Timpson FFA had an awesome kickoff meeting! We are excited to see our students get involved, develop leadership skills, & represent Timpson throughout the year. Great start, FFA!

⭐️A special thank you to Center First Pentecostal Church for showing their appreciation to our TES teachers by providing goodies this week. We are grateful for community partners who take the time to encourage and support our staff!

⭐️Our district attendance rate for the week was an outstanding 97%! Great job, Bears! Every day in the classroom matters, and we’re making Every Day Count!

⭐️Timpson ISD received an “A” on our financial accountability rating, scoring an impressive 98 out of 100 points! This reflects our district's commitment to responsible financial management and being good stewards of the resources entrusted to us.

⭐️Congratulations to Penny Ramsey, who was named Pre-K Teacher of the Year for Shelby County! We are proud to see one of our outstanding educators recognized for the difference she makes for our youngest Bears!

⭐️THS recognized their first round of “Most Valuable Bears” – Students who exemplified traits of school spirit, respect, responsibility, & more!

🌟Week 1 of TES Character Credit Awards🌟

These TES students were awarded a Character Credit for “Taking Responsibility” – the first of our Timpson 12 Success Habits.
Students then got to use their tokens in the TES book vending machine!📚

Congratulations to Ms. Penny Ramsey for being voted Best Pre-K Teacher in Shelby County!🎉

Ms. Penny has been teaching for 29 years, and has been a Teacher Incentive Allotment recipient for the past 3 years! We are so grateful to have such an incredible teacher at our school! Congratulations Ms. Penny!

More labs going on across TISD!🥽
✏️4th grade recorded physical properties of their cracker samples, including the different weights, colors, & textures!
🧪8th grade science students conducted a pH lab comparing & contrasting acids & bases!

🐻Week 2 of celebrating the accomplishments of TISD with our Bear Brags! Every week, we’ll recognize the district-wide excellence that brings us closer to becoming the Gold Standard of small schools!

Here are some great things that have happened at Timpson ISD this week:

⭐️Our Child Nutrition Department served 2,704 meals this week. Thank you for keeping the Bears well fed!

⭐️TISD provided each teacher in the district $200 to purchase instructional materials!

⭐️ Football and volleyball kicked off this week with scrimmages and games. Looking forward to a great year for the Bears!

⭐️Our 6th and 8th grade students both achieved an outstanding 98% attendance rate this week!

⭐️Timpson Elementary celebrated its amazing teachers with an ice cream treat on Friday! A sweet way to recognize their hard work and dedication!

⭐️Our Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) teachers were recognized at this week’s Board Meeting and received their well-earned checks on Friday! Congratulations to these outstanding educators!

Mrs. Tomlinson’s financial math classes worked in teams to design & create a paper airplane as if they were running a small business!✈️

Each team was given a specific budget & had to make financial decisions about how to spend their money. Their goal was to create a successful paper airplane while making smart financial decisions!
