From Space to the Maryland Italian Festival! 🇮🇹🌌
TODAY @11 a.m. in the HERITAGE VILLLAGE, ISSNAF DMV Connect invites you to meet Dr. Annalisa Calamida, who will discuss how Italy is contributing to the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope project and, more broadly, to the projects and scientific research coordinated by the Space Telescope Science Institute (STScI) in Baltimore.
This is an opportunity to discover the role of Italian research in some of the most important international astronomical missions and to get an up-close look at the science being conducted right here in Maryland.

We are going to be LARGEST ITALIAN FESTIVAL in Maryland TODAY at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen! Don't miss it! This amazing three-days festival features live music, carnival rides, games, a bocce tournament, fireworks, and great food. Prof. Applauso will be at the Italian heritage village giving two lectures (on Dante and the history of Italians in Maryland)—see the attached program for details! The Heritage Village Cultural Hub features strolling accordionists and musicians wander the grounds while the Piccolo Teatro hosts Italian history talks, storytelling, and puppet shows.
