🎶 Music Therapy Wednesdays are a favorite at Brockington! 🎶

Every other Wednesday, Brockington Elementary has the pleasure of welcoming Mrs. Robyn Parker into our classroom for music therapy! 💙🧡

We absolutely LOVE when Mrs. Robyn visits! She brings such a special mix of music, movement, instruments, and her own amazing style that our students truly vibe with. 🎤🥁🎵

There’s something pretty incredible about watching our students connect, communicate, participate, and simply enjoy themselves through music. Mrs. Robyn creates a space where every student can join in and experience success in their own way.

We are so thankful for the joy, energy, and music she brings to Brockington! 🎶💙🧡

Our Eagles are ready to keep on SOARing! 🦅💙

Students in Mrs. Simpson’s art class designed and created their very own Eagle Buck Wallets! 🎨💵 Each student chose their own design and layout to make their wallet uniquely theirs.

As students demonstrate positive behavior, they can earn Eagle Bucks and keep them safe in their custom wallets for use at our Eagle Buck Store.

Calling all 5th grade Brockington students who love to dance! Auditions for the Brockington Eagles Dance Team are coming up!

📅 Date: Monday, August 31st
⏰ Time: 3:00–4:00 PM
📍 Location: Brockington Elementary

If your 5th grader is interested in auditioning, please make sure to review the audition paperwork carefully and return all required forms to Mrs. Shoener before the audition. Students will need to be picked up or attend Boys and Girls Club after auditions.

Our Brockington Eagles got a healthy dose of learning during yesterday’s Mood Boost with Chartwells K12! 🍓🥕🥦🫐

During Mood Boost, students explored how the colorful foods on their plates can provide different benefits for their growing bodies. From helping support the immune system and protecting their eyes to keeping their hearts strong, each color brings its own unique set of health perks!

❤️ Red foods like strawberries can help fight cell damage, support heart health, and protect skin from sun damage.
🧡 Orange foods like carrots and oranges provide nutrients that support the immune system and help keep eyes healthy.
💚 Green foods help build strong bones and support the body’s natural detoxification processes.
💙💜 Blue and purple foods can support brain health, including memory, and help reduce inflammation.

And while introducing our youngest learners to new foods is important, there’s something even more powerful about helping them understand why those foods are good for them. When students know that the foods they choose can give their bodies a boost, healthy eating becomes more than what’s on their plate; it becomes a lesson they can carry with them. 💚

From excited arrivals each morning to hands-on learning, new friendships, and unforgettable moments, our Eagles have already begun soaring into a wonderful school year.

Every bus ride, every classroom activity, and every smiling face reminds us that school is so much more than a place to learn. It's a community where students are encouraged to grow, create, and shine!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Ebenezer Baptist Church for loving on our faculty and staff by providing a delicious meal as we prepared for an exciting new school year! 🍽️❤️

As we worked hard to get our classrooms and school ready to welcome our amazing students, Ebenezer’s generosity, encouragement, and servant hearts remind us just how fortunate we are to have such wonderful community partners.

Your kindness gave our staff the opportunity to pause, connect, and recharge as we continue preparing for a fantastic year of learning, growth, and leadership. We are truly grateful for your support and for investing in our school family!
