Free COVID-19 at home test kits are available at the Jefferson County General Health District! These are perfect for anyone experiencing symptoms, especially if you do not have a P*P or if you are hesitant about going to the emergency room.
Testing for COVID-19 can help slow the spread of the virus.

Call us at (740)283-8530 ext. 1649 and we can make arrangements for you to get a kit. DO NOT ENTER THE BUILDING IF YOU ARE COMING TO PICK UP A TEST.


*Tests are rapid for the qualitative detection of COVID-19 antigens in nasal swab specimens.

Buckeye Local South Elementary public Open House scheduled for Wednesday, September 1, 2021 has been postponed due to the weather and classroom materials still on backorder. Please stay patient as we await the rest of the classroom materials to arrive so we can reschedule our Open House. We look forward to your visit to our building soon.

Parents-if your child has COVID symptoms, do not send them to school. If someone in your household is awaiting COVID results or showing multiple COVID symptoms, do not send your child to school. When you call the office, please indicate to the secretary

We must work together and make responsible decisions regarding the health of ALL students. Our goal is to keep the students in face to face learning as long as we can. If we have kids that aren’t feeling well coming and spreading COVID, our style of learning may need to change.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE if your child is not feeling well or showing symptoms, keep them home and get them tested.

Several busses are running late (especially 5 & 14). They are covering for a driver that is off this afternoon. Our last bus just left South. Please be patient as we got your children home safely! Thank you!

PRESCHOOL ONLY
Preschool Orientation will be held at South Elementary on September 1st at 9:30 am. It is optional for your child to attend. We would like a parent/ guardian per student to attend.
