As we prepare for the upcoming school year we are excited to introduce our new In School Suspension (ISS) Monitor and Building Aide, Mr. Patrick Spaulding. Mr. Spaulding is a graduate of WRHS and after high school served in the United States Army. Mr. Spaulding holds a bachelors degree and is currently working towards a masters degree in counseling.

While we hope that Mr. Spaulding does not ever have to spend the day with students in ISS, we look forward to his work alongside the Assistant Principal to assist in preparing students to return to school after a suspension. When not in ISS students will see Mr. Spaulding throughout the building monitoring safety and adherence to the code of conduct.

WRHS is pleased to welcome Mr. Aaron Hayward to our Mathematics Department. Mr. Hayward brings extensive teaching experience in math and science, including AP programs, as well as a experience as an administrator. Mr. Hayward will be teaching Algebra and Geometry this year, and with a full compliment of teachers in our Mathematics Department, WRHS will be able to offer upper-level math classes in the future. WRHS welcomes Mr. Gavin McWeeney to the Social Studies Team for the 2026-2027 school year. Mr. McWeeney is excited to join the Winnisquam School Community. Originally from Concord, New Hampshire, he earned his degree in Social Studies Education from Plymouth State University. Before joining Winnisquam, Mr. McWeeney taught Social Studies and Physical Education in northern New Hampshire. He is passionate about helping students develop real world skills and connecting classroom learning to everyday life.

This year, Mr. McWeeney looks forward to teaching U.S. History, World History, and Personal Finance while helping students build the knowledge and critical thinking skills they will use beyond the classroom.

Joining the WRHS Social Studies Department this year is Mr. Morgan Puliafico. Mr. Puliafico is very excited to be joining the teaching team at Winnisquam Regional High School. He was born and raised in Southern California before moving to New Hampshire five years ago. He played collegiate lacrosse and graduated from Colby-Sawyer College in 2025 with a degree in History and Political Studies.

Mr. Puliafico looks forward to beginning his teaching career at WRHS, getting to know his colleagues and students, and becoming part of the school WRHS Bears community.

WRHS is excited to welcome Mr. Nicholas Stein as our new Art Teacher. Mr. Stein was born and raised in the Excelsior State (NY) where he also attended college to earn a degree in digital & studio arts from SUNY Oneonta. He has served as a long-term substitute art teacher and freelance art instructor prior to joining the WRHS faculty. Mr. Stein brings a passion for the arts and rumor has it he can perform a standing back flip. He is looking forward to meeting our students.

WRHS welcomes our new Business Teacher, Mr. Jaime LeFlem. We are excited to have Mr. LeFlem join our team. Mr. LeFlem comes to WRHS after teaching in both a CTE and traditional high school environment. Mr. LeFlem has taught for both the Newport (NH) School District and John Stark Regional (NH) School District. Mr. LeFlem brings enthusiasm about the many facets of business.

Joining the WRHS Team as our new Assistant Principal is Ms. Patricia Rella. Ms. Rella comes to WRHS with a significant high school teaching experience, having taught Spanish for the Plymouth (NH) School District for more than twenty years. In addition to her role as a classroom teacher, she has a strong background in curriculum development and as a teacher leader. After spending the last two years as Principal for the Rivendell Academy in Orford, NH she is excited to be at WRHS.
