Tomorrow and Thursday, Tillamook High School students will get to celebrate Día del niño, thanks to the Juntos students!
Día del niño, or Children’s Day, is an annual celebration that is dedicated for the protection of kids around the world and is celebrated on the 30th of April in Mexico. Its origin date was made by Alvaro Obregon in 1924 to recognize the importance of children’s rights. Día del niño is important to the Latino culture because it recognizes children as important individuals in society and secures their care and well-being around the world.
To celebrate Día del niño, representatives from the Juntos program will be passing out delicious Mexican candy on Wednesday and Thursday during 2nd period. We also invite you to join the Juntos program May 3rd or 4th during cheese block to play lotería! There will be prizes!

El Día del niño es una celebración anual que es dedicada para la protección de niños alrededor del mundo y es celebrado el 30 de abril en México. Su fecha de origen fue hecha por Álvaro Obregón y la Educación Pública José Vasconcelos en 1924 para reconocer por primera vez, la importancia de los derechos para niños. Dia del niño es importante para la cultura Latina porque no solo reconoce los derechos de los niños, sino que también los reconocen como personas importantes en la sociedad y asegura el cuidado y bienestar de los niños de todo el mundo.
Para celebrar, representantes del programa Juntos van a pasar bolsillas con dulces mexicanos deliciosos. Los invitamos también para unirse al programa Juntos. ¡El 3 o 4 de mayo durante cheese block para jugar lotería! ¡Habrá premios!
