Tillamook Jr. High School

As you begin shifting out of summer mode and into school mode, please note an update to East School and Tillamook Jr. High's school hours for the 2026–27 school year.

We’re getting a jump start on the morning, with classes beginning at 8:10 AM Monday–Friday. (Doors open at 7:50 AM.) And, just like last year, Fridays will be early-release days, but this year students will be dismissed at 1:45 PM. ⏰

In-person registration (only for students new to the district and those who were not in attendance during the 2026-27 school year) is scheduled for August 24th from 8am-4pm and August 25th from 11am-7pm. If you would like to print forms and fill them out prior to attending registration, they can be found on the district’s website.

Returning students do not need to come in for registration, unless they would like help with the process (e.g., access to a computer, translation services, etc). All families will be required to submit proof of address within Tillamook School District boundaries. The first day of school for 7th graders is Tuesday, September 8, and the first day for 8th graders is Wednesday, September 9. Doors open at 7:50am, and school begins at 8:10am.

Back to School sales abound! Check out what you'll need for your 7th and 8th graders this year. (Note: if your child still has their PE uniform from 7th grade, there is no need to purchase a new one.) We're gearing up for a great year!

Please note, children will not be allowed to play on the playground during construction. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but we can't wait to share our beautiful new playspace when it's complete.

Are you planning to participate in sports at TJHS next year? If so, registration for all seasons is open now! Don't forget to schedule your sports physical if yours is not up to date.

Families and friends are encouraged to attend as we recognize and honor the Class of 2030!

Students: Please report directly to the high school that morning (not the junior high) and arrive no later than 8:15 a.m.

A few reminders:

👔 Attire is business casual
🎈 Please do not bring balloon arrangements, as they may block the view of other guests
🚌 After the ceremony, students may either leave with their families or ride the bus back to the junior high for final wrap-up activities
⏰ School officially releases at 11:30 a.m.
