Mrs. Huckaba won the kiss the critter contest! We are so thankful for her great attitude in kissing the goat! The students had a blast!! This contest raises funds for our PBIS store for the students! 🐐 ♥️

RCES Attendance Reminders

Does your student have a high number of unexcused absences?

Does your student have a high number of unexcused tardies or unexcused checkouts?

You can check your student (s) attendance in Infinite Campus to ensure that your student (s) unexcused absences, unexcused tardies, and checkouts do not accumulate throughout the school year.

REMINDERS: A families 7 guardian notes may be used only for unexcused absences. Doctor's notes may be used for unexcused absences as well as unexcused tardies and unexcused checkouts.

Families may use the link below to assist in submitting their guardian notes and their doctor's notes.

We had an amazing American themed Literacy night!!! Thank you to our Community Club for decorating our school so well!!! We loved seeing so many great literacy activities provided for our families! 🇺🇸❤️🤍💙

We are so proud of our cafeteria staff!

Rabun County Elementary School has been named a “Cafeteria of Excellence” by the Georgia Department of Education!

Only 3 schools from each RESA district across Georgia receive this award, and RCES is one of them!

This honor celebrates our amazing school nutrition team for:

🌾 Using local Georgia-grown foods

✅ Maintaining top health scores

👩‍🍳 Serving meals students love with strong participation rates

We are SO proud of our staff who work hard every day to fuel learning with fresh, healthy, and delicious meals.

So many fun and engaging activities happening at school:
✏️ Mrs. Weber’s class investigated constructive and destructive forces with glacial striation and moraines during Science Class!
🌖 Ms. Hinnicutt’s class enjoyed making the phases of the moon using Oreos in Science class!
📚 In the library this year, Mrs. Leggett allows students to enjoy reading with friends in comfy spots around the library! Students are also creating 3D models that go along with their book as part of the reading activities on our September Choice Board.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

🐾KISS THE CRITTER FUNDRAISER! 🐾

We are excited to kick off our Kiss the Critter Fundraiser to support our school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) program! 💙

Students can bring in their loose change and spare coins to help raise money for PBIS. Every little bit adds up and helps us continue rewarding and encouraging positive behavior throughout our school!

🌟 The staff member who raises the MOST money will have to KISS THE CRITTER on Friday! 🐾💋

Start saving those coins and bring them in! Let’s see who our students can help send to kiss the critter! 😄
