Hello,

Rabun County Middle School is partnering with the Rabun County Athletic Booster Club to provide our student-athletes and community with the best experience possible. In order for the RCABC to provide the best experience and resources to our student-athletes and fans, we need your help! The Booster Club relies on community/parent volunteers to help with concessions during events. We would like to encourage you all to take an active part in supporting our student-athletes! The following is a message from the RCABC about volunteers. Thank you for your participation. Please send an email to [email protected] to sign up.

IMPORTANCE OF VOLUNTEERING:

The RCABC is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that every student athlete can participate, compete, and excel – without financial barriers. We provide full funding for
uniforms, safety equipment, and travel-related expenses so all athletes can represent Rabun County with pride.

We strive to raise money to relieve the financial burdens from families for each student to be able to play sports through our Super Booster Drive, all-sport fundraisers, individual team sport
fundraisers and our CONCESSIONS STAND profits.
Our concession stand sales play one of the most vital roles in being able to fund all of our sports needs. We fully staff these concession stands with volunteers.

We are seeking to have every parent give us a little part of your time helping us by working some concessions (whether that be for your child's sporting event or another).

We are very fortunate to have our varsity football games covered by businesses. We need volunteers for all other high school and middle school events and recreation football Saturdays.

If you are interested in volunteering some of your time with a concession stand please reach out to us at [email protected] with your name, phone number, email address and which sporting event you might be interested in so we can add you to our volunteer list.

Thank you all for your support of the Athletic Booster Club and our student athletes of Rabun County! We want to continue to be an ELITE sports program for all our sports, and we need you
to help us do that!

Respectfully,

The Rabun County Athletic Booster Club Board

As we prepare for a great school year, we want to share an important update regarding student backpacks.

Beginning this school year, large backpacks will be stored in student lockers during the school day and should not be brought into classrooms. Every student will be assigned a locker at no cost, and because our 7th and 8th grade students each have designated hallways, students will have convenient access to their lockers throughout the day.

Students who would like to carry a few classroom materials or personal items between classes may use a small drawstring bag or other small carrying case. Teachers may ask students to place these small bags in a designated area of the classroom to provide more space for movement and classroom activities.

Please note that backpacks of any kind are not required. Many students may find it just as easy to carry the materials they need from class to class by hand. Students are welcome to choose the option that works best for them.

This procedure has several benefits:

~Creates a safer classroom by reducing clutter and trip hazards.
~Provides more space for movement, collaboration, and engaging instruction.
~Helps students build organization and responsibility by using their lockers.
~Keeps classrooms focused on learning while ensuring students have easy access to their belongings.

We appreciate your support as we implement this procedure. Our goal is to provide an organized, safe, and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to do
Our Best. Each Moment. Each Day.

Thank you for partnering with us. We are looking forward to an outstanding school year!

We are excited to welcome our students and families back to Rabun County Middle School for the 2026–2027 school year!

After careful consideration, we have decided that we will not hold 7th Grade Boot Camp this year. With the final touches of our remodel being completed, our staff needs this additional time to prepare classrooms, complete important trainings, and make sure we are fully ready to provide the best possible start for our students.

While we will miss the opportunity to host Boot Camp, we are excited to welcome all of our students and families during our Open House on Thursday, July 30th, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. This will be a wonderful opportunity for students to visit our newly updated building, meet their teachers, find their classrooms, and begin getting comfortable with the start of the new school year.

At 6:00 p.m. during Open House, we will also host a Q&A session with RCMS administrators. This will be an opportunity for families to ask questions, learn more about the upcoming school year, and connect with our leadership team.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we put the finishing touches on our school. We are grateful for the support of our families and community, and we cannot wait to see our students back in the halls as we begin a great year together at RCMS.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our students, staff, and school community!

Our Best. Each Moment. Each Day.
