🦆 Friday, March 6 – Ducks

Today we explored ducks and talked about feathers, webbed feet, and how they float on water. We even practiced our best “quack!”

📚💤 Friday 3/6 – Snuggle Up and Read! 💤📚

We’re ending Dr. Seuss Week at Little Feet Child Care in the coziest way possible!

Have your child wear their pajamas and bring their favorite book to share. We’ll dim the lights a little, get comfy, and enjoy some extra snuggly story time together.

Reading before rest helps children:
✨ Strengthen listening and comprehension
✨ Build vocabulary
✨ Develop a love of books
✨ Feel calm and connected

There’s something special about slowing down at the end of a busy week and simply enjoying a good story.

🐸 Thursday, March 5 – Frogs

We hopped like frogs and learned about where frogs live and what they eat. Frogs are excellent jumpers and love life near the water!

🎩📚 Thursday 3/6 – Hats Off to Reading! 📚🎩

Tomorrow at Little Feet Child Care, we’re tipping our hats to the joy of books!

Have your child dress like the Cat in the Hat or wear their favorite hat — silly hats, baseball caps, sparkly hats, cowboy hats, winter hats… the bigger and more creative, the better!

Hats can change how we look — and books can change how we think.
Reading helps children:
✨ Build confidence
✨ Grow their imagination
✨ Develop strong listening skills
✨ Discover new ideas and adventures

We’ll be celebrating how stories can take us anywhere — no magic hat required (but they sure make it more fun 😉).

Today we talked about tadpoles and how they grow into frogs. We discussed life cycles and the amazing changes that happen in nature.

Tomorrow we’re showing our team spirit at Little Feet Child Care!

Have your child wear their favorite team jersey or shirt — football, basketball, soccer, baseball, dance, gymnastics… whatever team they love to cheer for!

Just like in sports, reading is a team effort.
When we read together, we:
✨ Take turns
✨ Listen carefully
✨ Encourage one another
✨ Celebrate small victories

Every great team needs practice, patience, and support — and growing readers are no different. 💛

Tomorrow we’ll talk about how being a good teammate also means being a good listener, helper, and encourager during story time.
